It’s a Wonderful Day for Some Nettyball

I would have to say that 2019 has been good to me. I am meeting some wonderful people in the writing/media world and working really hard to create a portfolio of work that I can proudly show off to people.

I am still writing for the North Queensland Cowboys and most recently I have been picked up as a Reporter for Netball Scoop. I had been a fan of Netball Scoop for sometime, they pride themselves on having incredible up to date and accurate Netball news from all over the world, they really are a one stop shop for a netball nerd like myself.

The opportunity to be a Reporter with Netball Scoop for the 2019 Suncorp Super Netball season was an absolute dream come true. I get to sit on the media bench with other professionals, I get to watch and learn and I get to be court side for the most exciting and physical games of netball. Up close and personal, I write a match report and I interview players after the game.

I have been at a few games now, but my gratitude in the moment is never lost. I take a minute every game to stop, look at the amazing crowd and take it all in. Never in my life, did I ever think I would be so lucky as to be as close to the action as I am. Getting to write match reports and interview the best netball players in the world; ultimately means I am contributing to growing and exposing this sport for the phenomenal product that it is.

Saying that, if you have not yet found your way to a game this season, their is still time. I would urge to go and experience what I get to enjoy. These are some of the fittest and fiercest athletes in the country; they deserve to be celebrated and the deserve your support. There is a big movement happening in the #WomenInSport world, and you can help drive the movement with your actions.
